Privacy

Paperkeep makes no network requests after you download it. Not for licensing, not for analytics, not for crash reports. Nothing.

What the app does

• Opens PDFs from your disk and saves PDFs to your disk.
• Verifies license keys offline using an Ed25519 public key compiled into the binary. Activation stores a smalllicense.json (your email and key) in the app's local config folder on your machine — it is never transmitted anywhere.

What the app does not do

• No uploads. Your documents are never sent to any server.
• No accounts, no sign-in, no email collection in the app.
• No telemetry, analytics, or crash reporting.
• No auto-update pings. You choose when to download a new version.

Don't take our word for it: run Paperkeep behind a firewall or packet capture (Wireshark, Little Snitch, OpenSnitch) and watch it make zero connections. The licensing check is plain Ed25519 signature verification — no activation server, no callbacks.

The website and checkout

• This site is static and sets no cookies.
• Purchases run through Lemon Squeezy, the merchant of record. They process your payment and email address undertheir privacy policy. We receive your email once, sign it to create your license key, email the key to you, and store nothing.
